WEDDING STATIONERY

Weddings are all about curating meaningful details that are special to you and your families, not just on the big day, but in the build up too. Your wedding stationery is special because it sets the tone and gives your guests their first glimpse of what to expect.

I was very grateful to be asked for the first time last year to design the wedding stationery of Lucy and Nick. They wanted their invitations, menus and signs to contain elements personalised both to them, to their colour scheme, the season (it was a Christmas wedding) and to their beautiful venue.

The photography featured on this page belongs to the wonderful wedding photographer, Laura Vieceli.

THE FORMAL INVITATION

Lucy and Nick’s formal invitation features an elegant, art nouveau inspired design, decorated with illustrations meaningful to the couple and specific to their day. Roses, mistletoe and springs of rosemary were used within their floral arrangements, candles were a big feature during the wedding dinner, and the colours used align with their chosen palette used across the wedding, from bridesmaid dresses to decorations.

The invitation also captures the cosy, festive atmosphere of a mid-December wedding, with warm, rich tones that pair beautifully with a burgundy envelope. Included with the main invitation were two smaller cards, the RSVP and a details card.

SAVE THE DATE

Before sending the formal invitation (see above), Lucy and Nick wanted a Save the Date they could send out digitally to their guests, to make sure they got the date in their diaries as early as possible.

Having seen my animated work, they asked if I could create an animated Save the Date, with visuals personal to them.
