I have produced posters for a variety of events, including private parties, pop-ups and new launches. I enjoy tailoring each design to fit with the companies unique brand and the type of people they want to reach. Adding illustrated elements allows me to personalise each poster with recognisable details and add layers of interest.
NOSTALGIC BIRTHDAY PARTY - INSTAGRAM POST (2025)
WHAT: An Instagram carousel post designed for Talking Tables (partyware, games and homeware).
CONCEPT: Inspired by a growing trend I noticed (largely on Pinterest but also Instagram) for colourful, ecclectic birthday parties with a retro, childhood-inspired feel, think party hats, bunting, kitsch napkins and tissue paper confetti.
To align with the ‘old school’ aspect of the trend, I designed the images to ressemble a handmade collage someone may have compiled to plan a birthday party pre-internet. The collage style of the primary image is also a format popular on Pinterest, and has the benefit of showing many products at once in a way that is aesthetically pleasing. The post is designed with an optional interactive element, encouraging the viewer to consider which of each four options they like most.
